The NTBHA First Responder Liaison and Education position will serve as a resource regarding adult, child/adolescent mental health and substance use in all areas in community including community events, schools and all first responders departments to provide resources and education.
This position will also participate in the ride along program with Mental Health Officers for community support.
We are responsible for developing a collaborative system of care for individuals in crisis in the NTBHA service area.
We are focused on trauma-informed, resilience-oriented care in all services provided.
Summary of Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Increase Education in local communities, including all levels of first responders and their departments, awareness and understanding of mental health and co-occurring mental health and substance use services available in the communities.
Assist in the implementation of initiatives related to mental health or substance use for First responders and communities within the Communities.
Ensure communities are aware of best practice-based programs, research-based practices and other public and private mental health and substance use programs.
Facilitate training with all community partners regarding prevention and intervention programs proven effective in helping individuals.
Research resource information online and through networking with first responders and the communities.
Liaison and collaborate between systems including:
LMHA/LBHAs, Police, Fire, ambulance, ESC, school districts, community agencies, and state agencies.
Implement, and coordinate a calendar for the ride along program with all police and sheriff departments.
Complete and submit monthly reporting template to LMHA/LBHA supervisor.
Duties and projects may be assigned or changed to meet business needs.

with an ability to become familiar with company-specific programs and software.
Must be able to work on and have knowledge of a PC (personal computer).
Minimum
Qualifications:
