50 an hour Job description The Texas Zoofari Park is a 900-acre drive-through safari park located in Kaufman, Texas just 40 miles east of Dallas.
This park is part of the larger Zoofari Parks (www.
zoofariparks.
com) group of zoological facilities.
This brand new, growing facility houses 1,000
specimens of a wide variety of hoofed stock, including white rhinoceros and reticulated giraffe.
Conservation is at the core of what we do.
Through our various breeding programs and in conjunction with our Corporate Conservation Coordinator we annually fund a myriad of conservation programs both nationally and internationally.
We are currently hiring for a dynamic and physically fit animal person to join our Animal Care Team.
The position is physically demanding and active.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to providing proper animal care through:
Daily cleaning and maintenance of exhibits.
Diet preparation and feeding.
Assist in vet and medical procedures.
Daily observation of animals including for injuries, breeding, and general healthcare.
Help with capture, moving, and handling of large hoofstock according to set policies and procedures.
Administer proper enrichment to various animal species.
Use large machinery, power tools, and lawn equipment in a safe manner.
Must be able to communicate and give keeper talks to guests through formal and informal encounters.
Requirements:
1 year animal care experience (paid or unpaid) High school diploma or equivalent Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, lift, stoop, squat, kneel, push, pull, and climb for prolonged periods of time.
Weekend and holiday availability Applicants must possess a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and excellent communication skills.
Ability to follow a strict personal dress code and maintain a valid driver's license is required.
Must be able to pass a background check.
